1. Rapier loom: using rigid or flexible rapier heads, belts to grip and guide weft yarns. The rapier loom is not only suitable for weaving plain and textured fabrics, but also features convenient color changing and is suitable for multi colored weft fabrics. It is suitable for the production of color woven, double-layer velvet fabrics, looped fabrics, and decorative fabrics.

2. Jet loom: Using compressed air jets to pull the weft yarn through the shuttle opening. The biggest feature of jet looms is their fast speed and high labor productivity, suitable for the production of plain and textured fabrics, fine and high-density fabrics, and large-scale fabrics.

3. Water jet loom: Using water as the weft insertion medium, the water jet generates frictional traction force on the weft yarn, causing the weft yarn on the fixed cylinder to be introduced into the shuttle mouth. The water jet loom is characterized by high speed and high unit yield, mainly suitable for the production of hydrophobic long filament synthetic fabrics with smooth surfaces.

4. Slippery loom: A small sheet-like shuttle with a clamp is used to hold the weft yarn and project the weft. The shuttle loom has the advantages of stable weft insertion, excellent fabric quality, and less yarn return. It is suitable for the production of multi-color weft fabrics, fine and thick fabrics, and wide fabrics. The common basic feature of the four types of shuttleless looms mentioned above is to separate the weft yarn roll from the shuttle, or to replace the large and heavy shuttle with a small and light weft yarn carrier, providing favorable conditions for high-speed weft insertion. In terms of the supply of weft yarn, it is directly packaged in tubes and enters the weft insertion mechanism through a storage device, freeing the loom from frequent weft filling actions. Therefore, the use of shuttle free looms is of great significance for increasing fabric varieties, adjusting fabric structures, reducing fabric defects, improving fabric quality, reducing noise, and improving working conditions. Non shuttle weaving machines have high speeds and are usually 4-8 times more efficient than shuttle weaving machines. Therefore, the widespread promotion and application of non shuttle weaving machines can significantly improve labor productivity.
